Hilary Mills Lambert believes in painting from life whenever possible and carries her paints on her travels around California and New England from where she originally came. Drawing and painting the human figure in the classical tradition is the springboard to her current body of work. She has found that her paintings flow from her love of her subjects: whether still life, garden, figure, or landscape. She especially loves to paint animals.
